General Issues
The application shows "No Internet Connection"
- Verify that your internet connection is working by opening a website in your browser
- Close Status Rotator++ completely and reopen it
- Make sure your firewall or antivirus isn't blocking the application - add an exception if needed
The application crashes or freezes
- Update to the latest version - Download from status-rotator.com/app
- Delete data and reconfigure - Go to Settings > Delete Data
- Check system updates - Ensure your OS is up to date
- Reinstall the application - Uninstall and reinstall fresh
Status Rotator Issues
Status Rotator doesn't work
Make sure your User Token is correct and hasn't expired. Discord tokens can be invalidated when you change your password or Discord detects suspicious activity.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Verify that your User Token is correct
- Try regenerating your token (changing Discord password will reset it)
- Check that you haven't been rate limited by Discord
- Ensure the app has internet access
Statuses not changing
- Check that the Status Rotator is actually running (green indicator)
- Verify your token hasn't expired
- Look for rate limit warnings in the app
- Try increasing the duration between status changes
Rich Presence Issues
Rich Presence doesn't appear
- Make sure your Application ID is exactly 19 digits
- Rich Presence only works with Discord Desktop, not the browser or mobile app
- Activities can take a few seconds to appear on your profile
- Ensure "Display current activity as a status message" is enabled in Discord settings
Images not showing
- Ensure image URLs are direct links (ending in .png, .jpg, etc.)
- Verify images are publicly accessible (not behind login)
- Try uploading images to Discord's Developer Portal as assets instead
Role Color Rotator Issues
Role Rotator doesn't change colors
- Verify bot is in server - Check your server's member list
- Check role hierarchy - Bot's role must be above target roles
- Verify permissions - Bot needs "Manage Roles" permission
- Check bot token - Ensure it's correct and not regenerated
Roles with a lock icon
These roles cannot be modified because:
- They are above the bot's role in the hierarchy
- They are managed by an integration (like Nitro Booster)
- They are the @everyone role
Solution: Move your bot's role higher in the server's role hierarchy.
Discord Rate Limits
What are rate limits?
Discord limits how frequently you can make certain actions to prevent abuse. If you exceed these limits, Discord will temporarily block your requests.
How to avoid rate limits

If you're rate limited
- Stop all rotators immediately
- Wait 5-10 minutes
- Increase your delay settings
- Restart with longer intervals
Repeated rate limit violations could result in temporary or permanent restrictions on your Discord account.
License Issues
License key not working
- Enter the key exactly as provided (it's case-sensitive)
- Remove any extra spaces before or after
- Check your internet connection
- Contact support if the issue persists
HWID mismatch error
This means the license was previously activated on a different device. Request an HWID reset at status-rotator.com/reset-hwid.
License expired
Renew your license at status-rotator.com or contact support for assistance.
